Metal Working Links (General)

Fournier Enterprises - Ron Fournier and family host the most enjoyable, intensive and focused series of metal fabrication workshops anywhere.  I completed Ron's Advanced Metal Working 3-day course in November 2005 and I can't say enough about how wonderful the experience was.  Ron is one for the history books with a rare talent for exquisite metal work as well as skilled and generous teaching ability.  If you are a budding "panel beater" or simply a dedicated and interested enthusiast, you simply MUST consider taking Ron's classes.  They really are that good!  Oh!  And don't forget to stock up on Ron's amazing educational videos and metal working products!

Cobra Torches (Dillon, Henrob, Cobra, DHC 2000) - Perhaps the best oxy-acetylene welding/cutting torch you've never heard of!  I was introduced to this torch by Ron Fournier and it truly is a wonderful tool that absolutely does everything the manufacturer claims.  Ron uses the torch exclusively to weld aluminum panels used in his metalwork projects and it really does a beautiful job.  Like anything, you must practice with the tool to become proficient and if you are an experienced gas welder, you will have to "unlearn" some things to use this torch properly.  Bear in mind that this isn't some "paid endorsement.  I use this torch and highly recommend it!
